It's people like these individuals who operate these sites and set bait for vulnerable consumers who can easily be persuaded to make serious and costly mistakes.
Simply put, the majority of these individuals do NOT have access to the same resources we, the real estate professionals in Alberta, are consistently paying for and are authorized to use as licensed agents. And, are not insured to cover replacement value of damages or negligence that they are liable for causing. Licensed real estate members in Alberta are insured under the jurisdiction of the Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB), the Edmonton Real Estate Board (EREB) and Real Estate Council of Alberta with REIX (Real Estate Insurance Exchange).
Lastly, who do you want to trust your most prized and valuable retirement asset to, a Facebook, Twitter or internet site run by individuals who are trying to financially capitalize by preying on people who would rather save money on commission by taking a very highly serious risk by using something that is NOT overseen by property entities such as CREB (Calgary Real Estate Board), RECA (Real Estate Council of Alberta) and CREA (Canadian Real Estate Association)?
Its these organizations whom all collectively work together to set out the laws, rules and regulations to make sure that YOU, the consumer are protected with strict enforcement of guidelines to protect consumers.
